Lighting Ordinance, Drainage, Well, Trash, Software, Trucks @ LCC 2018-02-26

The Street Lighting Ordinance on the agenda for this morning and tomorrow evening is not among those on the County Ordinances web page. How are we to “Know the Laws”, as the link from the county’s front page says, when unknown ordinances keep popping up? Ah, it’s currently a resolution and they want to make it an ordinance.

Lighting-ordinance-agenda-sheet-0001,

The agenda sheet says “For reference, copies of maps of each district type and the proposed new ordinance are attached.” Not for reference by the people paying the taxes, thoough, since those maps are not online.

Curious how they make special tax lighting districts all the time, yet they don’t do that for trash disposal, which has more agenda items than anything else.

The OneGeorgia Equity Fund Application is about state funds to pay for most of the acquisition of land between Moody AFB and Bemiss Road, so buildings on it can be demolished “to return the subject property to greenspace”.

The Stone Creek Backup Well helps the county send water up to Creekside West Subdivision, which the agenda doesn’t mention is on the other side of I-75 west of Hahira, with county pipes under I-75.
