Community Policies, Comprehensive Plan Workshop #5 @ SGRC 2016-04-18

6PM tonight at SGRC, fifth Workshop, as Ariel Godwin reminded us five days ago:

At our next workshop, we will finish reviewing the Issues and Opportunities for the Greater Lowndes Comprehensive Plan. We have two sections to review: Community Facilities & Services and Intergovernmental Coordination. I am attaching the Issues from those sections as they currently stand.

Since this is our second-to-last workshop, in the interest of time, I am attaching the Policies to this e-mail for your review. The Policies are from the previous Comprehensive Plan and the Common Community Vision. The Policies have been sorted by issues so each issue has one or more corresponding policies to address it. Please send me any changes or comments regarding the Policies (e-mail is preferred: agodwin@sgrc.us). I have included Policies for the two sections we have yet to review, Community Facilities and Intergovernmental Coordination, though those may change based on your review of the Issues in those categories at the workshop on Monday.

The entire updated workbook (it’s a bit too large for e-mailing) can be downloaded at: http://www.sgrc.us/community-and-economic-development.html (scroll down to Lowndes County)

As a reminder, our next meeting will be:

Monday, April 18, 2016
6:00 p.m. — 8:00 p.m.
Southern Georgia Regional Commission
327 W. Savannah Avenue
Valdosta, Georgia

Thank you so much, we look forward to seeing you there.

In the meantime, if you have any questions or would like any further information, please do not hesitate to email or call me.
