The Helping Your Child Succeed lunch-n-learn workshop was held Friday, June 17.

The workshop was created to help reach parents in the workplace, and to teach parents about statistics in dropout rates, and the education system as a whole.

Decades of research show that when parents are involved students have higher grades, test scores and graduation rates, better school attendance, increased motivation, better self-esteem, lower rates of suspension, decreased use of drugs and alcohol and fewer instances of violent behavior.
Note the link between parental involvement, childhood educational succcess, and less behavior that could lead to incarceration.
