In the County Manager Report there is this item:
David Crawford – Partnership Health Center (Work Session).

Since Lowndes County does not post video of its Work Sessions, you’ll either need to be there Monday morning at 8:30 AM, or watch it later in the LAKE videos.

This contentious rezoning will be decided after a Public Hearing:
REZ-2026-15 Mardun Ventures, LLC, 6434 Lake Alapaha Blvd, ~10.7ac, R-21 to E-A, County Water & Septic.

The big dollar item I believe comes from state money, i.e., your state taxes,
or is it T-SPLOST, also your taxes?

(and since

approved the next evening by the Lowndes County Commission)
and

a communications tower

to be voted on by the County Commission tonight,
Those two
Lowndes County cases
were the only ones
on the
Planning Commission agenda for July 25th 2016.

On July 26th 2016,
they

approved up to $40,000
for the

Withlacoochee River Flood Inundation Map Project, and

I thanked them for that and for considering my modest suggestion.
The County Manager,
unlike

the previous morning,
did not mention it’s time for
scheduling meetings to set millage rates.
Still no applicant for the

Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities Board, but Commissioner Joyce Evans thought she had a prospect for later.

They approved the
event center rezoning
which also sailed by the previous night’s
Planning Commission.

at Monday morning’s Work Session;
Chairman Bill Slaughter invited anyone who wanted to apply to speak up.
The

Comprehensive Plan Update was the

Other Business.
Staff mentioned the

many update workshops and said the Planning Commission could put it back on their agenda


after the

County Commission vote of the next day.

The

REZ-2016-12 Bemiss Road Roy Rhodes rezoning
is apparently some sort of science center for busing in home schoolers.
“Coding? What’s Coding?” said Commissioner Ted Raker.


REZ-2016-13 Evelyn Lund 4701 Knights Ferry Road
is a wedding venue.
