The longest item was not on the agenda:
a
Health Fair Update in the County Manager’s Report.
They breezed through everything else including
5 a. Lowndes County Public Facilities Authority Appointment,
although the Chairman did have another name to propose.
Below are links to the LAKE video of each item,
plus a very few notes,
followed by a LAKE video playlist.

5 a. Lowndes County Public Facilities Authority Appointment
Video.
County Manager Joe Pritchard named Crawford Powell to be reappointed,
and Scott Purvis to replace Steve Gupton.
Chairman Bill Slaughter added:Mr. Michael Walker, CPA in the Community,
I believe Dane, Walker, Hughes.A Commissioner, sounds like Mark Wisenbaker, asked if they would be getting
his information before they vote tomorrow.
The Chairman said he would “take care of that today”.
He did not say the public would get to see any of their applications. -

6 b. Abandonment of Portions of Old Lake Park Road and Hickory Grove Road SE
Video.
County Engineer Mike Fletcher reminded them they had decided at the previous
meeting to hold a public hearing, which will be tomorrow evening.
He said they had advertised in the paper and put the sign on the road,
and the only response so far was one call in favor. -
7 a. Abandonment of a Portion of Morning Bird Drive
Video.
County Engineer Mike Fletcher said Morning Bird Road is a dirt road
in a subdivision out near Clyattville.
It was originally intended to be a useful road,
but there are no houses nor lots subdivided on it,
and it’s getting dumping and no traffic,
so the developer wants it closed.
Commissioners will need to decide tomorrow evening whether to hold
a public meeting later. -
7 b. Adopt Resolution accepting infrastructure for Laura Avenue
Video.
County Engineer Mike Fletcher said this is in
Grove Pointe subdivision and is awaiting plat and “punchlist”.
So the acceptance would be preliminary waiting for those things. -
7 c. Trust Deed for New Statenville Highway Dollar General
Video.
County Engineer Mike Fletcher said this had been
withdrawn because commercial establishments like this,
unlike subdivisions,
not need a trustee, according to a recent state of Georgia decision. -

“Mr Ryan” (?) didn’t say it was a redundant backup.

said Paragon Benefits had been the administrator since January 2014.

The agenda sheet for this item
says “Allied Benefit Systems, Inc./BCBSGA” and that the change would cost less. -
