Using oil to move an automobile down the street … not something you’re going to see in 20 to 25 years. —Pete Marte

Pete Marte of Hannah Solar predicted that within a generation cars will run on electricity generated by solar arrays like the one commissioned last Thursday.

Col. Allan Ricketts introduced Pete Marte, CEO of Hannah Solar.

Here’s Part 1 of 3:

Pete Marte attributed Governor Nathan Deal signing HB 346 into law with its $15 million of tax credits partly to Chairman Sonny Murphy of Sterling Planet calling the governor. We already heard from state Sen. Tim Golden that he and Sonny Murphy grew up together.

We don’t have the middle of Pete Marte’s talk, because I was trying out new cameras; sorry about that. At the end, he remarked:

Over the 30 year lifespan of this array, a Chevy Volt could go 86 million miles.
This is the part picked up by WCTV.

Pete Marte concluded:

Using oil to move an automobile down the street I think is I think is not something you’re going to see in 20 to 25 years. It’s going to be arrays like this that generate power that we are building today that are going to help us get to the promised land.
It’s good to hear someone actually plan ahead!
