something about
NOAA, and an agreement with the Lowndes County
Board of Elections
for paying employees.

Still not enough signatures, said County Planner Jason Davenport,
who asked to give the developer yet another opportunity
by asking the Commission to table it again.

REZ-2013-15 Teramore Development, Old US 41 N PD to C-G

Talk of variances for lot width for this yet another Dollar General.Neighbor Nancy [?] was concerned about traffic on US 41.
County Engineer Mike Fletcher said at this time there were no plans
for widening 41.

Seth Hodge was concerned about enough time for the residents in the
mobile home park to move, saying 90 days was not very long.

Local attorney Bill Nijem, speaking for the applicant, Dollar General,
said residents actually were 30 day at-will tenants, so they had plenty of time.

all the special tax lighting districts into one motion, and
was dissuaded from that.
Nobody from the public spoke for or against this one.
Commissioner Richard Raines moved to approve with this condition:Unless the proposed lighting charges are paid in advance,
Lowndes County shall not be liable for payment for activation of the lights
before November 16, 2014.Unanimous approval with that condition.

Pump Replacement and Repair for two Lift Stations

Utilities Director Mike Allen asked to replace Pine Grove(?) Lift Station
for
$13,132
and to repair
Foxborough Lift Station for
$16,723.Commissioner Demarcus Marshall wanted to know if SPLOST VI
could be used to pay for these items.
Allen said no, it would come out of the utility budget,
which had money set aside for such instancesCommissioner Richard Raines made the motion; Commissioner John Page seconded;

Contract for 5311 Public Transport

County Engineer Mike Fletcher said
it’s the usual renewal for MIDS, Inc. to run the county’s on-call bus system.
Nobody else responded to an RFP.You should have before you a copy of the contract between Lowndes County
and MIDS for operation of this program.The public couldn’t see that contract, which he said included
three annual renewals, through 2017.
Commissioner Demarcus Marshall moved to approve.

Utilities Director Mike Allen said he had received a letter
from GA EPD requiring the Chairman’s signature, confirming
the timeline.

wanted clarification that the motion was to acknowledge
the consent order.
Chairman clarified that it was to authorize the
chairman to sign the consent order.
Raines: “So moved.”
