Three minutes, three items @ LCC 2014-08-25

The contractor

hasn’t finished the punchlist for Nottinghill

but the County Engineer wants the Commission to accept that infrastucture anyway.
The

Davidson Road drainage easement quit claim
is from the county back to the landowner.
The

third item
must be for tomorrow evening.
Three minutes total for
only

two items from the agenda
,
but that’s probably a record.
Normally we post videos of each item separately, but this time, why bother?
They vote Tuesday evening at 5:30 PM.

Here’s

the video,
followed by the agenda with a few notes, and links to the individual items inside the one video.

LOWNDES COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS

PROPOSED AGENDA

WORK SESSION, MONDAY, AUGUST 25, 2014, 8:30 a.m.

REGULAR SESSION, TUESDAY, AUGUST 26, 2014, 5:30 p.m.

327 N. Ashley Street — 2nd Floor

  1. Call to Order

  2. Invocation

    Only in the Regular Session

  3. Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag

    Only in the Regular Session

  4. Emergency Management Certificate Presentation

Apparently this is also only in the Regular Session, since it wasn’t in the Work Session.
Perhaps they could tell citizens that so they’d know when to show up.

  5. Minutes for Approval

    1. Work Session — August 11, 2014

    2. Regular Session — August 12, 2014

  6. For Consideration

    1. Adopt Resolution accepting infrastructure for Nottinghill Subdivision

      Video.
County Engineer Mike Fletcher said the punchlist was “substantially complete”.
Commissioner Demarcus Marshall asked if the contractor had indicated
when they would have all the items addressed.
Fletcher said within the next week or so.
Why are they considering approving it until all the items are addressed?

    2. Quit Claim Deed for Drainage Easement on Davidson Road

      Video.
A drainage ditch is being moved slightly and the county is quit claiming
the old location back to the owner, which is the opposite of what I thought
      from reading the agenda.

  7. Reports-County Manager

    Video.
County Manager Joe Prichard said no report.
And Chairman Bill Slaughter said, sounding very pleased, “short meeting”.
    They adjourned.

  8. Citizens Wishing to be Heard Please State Name And Address

    Only in the Regular Session
