People are still sick and dying in Waycross, and
answers are still few, but now there’s increasing help,
and organization at a meeting next Tuesday.
Remember
wastewater from
the Waycross SevenOut SuperFund site was sent to the Pecan Row
Landfill in Valdosta, and

we could have similar sites here, too.
Helping Waycross is helping everyone deal with toxic chemicals. -jsq

Meeting Announcement – Tuesday Evening, January 6, 2014,

You are needed at this meeting to make sure we continue to get the
truth and to protect our children and community!

Over the last year, our group and the Satilla Riverkeepers have been
working with GreenLaw, a non-profit Environmental firm, to give us
an honest evaluation of the contamination in Waycross. Well, we have
Contamination, but now we need to know that CSX and AGL are doing
all they can do to clean up these toxic chemicals. Recent documents
indicate they are not. So, GreenLaw would like to bring in
Earthjustice, a national environmental law organization, to see if
they can further assist the community. Additionally, we will have
other experts in attendance. They would like to take a tour of
Waycross, the canal system, and meet people from the community.

assistance with Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry
