Items #1 & 3:   Lowndes County Animal Services is currently under investigation.  At this time, we are unable to release any information until the case is closed.

 

Item #2:  The only correspondence that we have pertaining to the Lowndes County Animal Services is attached.

 

Item #4:  Currently, we do not have any additional correspondence from our Department to Lowndes County Commissioners.

Ms. Leavens, the Department is in receipt of your open records request.  We are in the process of determining whether or not the record(s) you requested are subject to access under the Georgia Open Records Act, and if so, the estimated fee for copying, searching, retrieval, and other administrative costs associated with processing your request. 

 

We may charge a fee of 25¢ per page and an hourly rate that is based on the salary of the lowest paid full time employee who has the skill and training necessary to satisfy the request; there is no charge for the first quarter hour. 

 

You will be notified within three business days whether or not the record(s) you requested are subject to open records and the estimated costs associated with your request.  If there is no charge for your request, it will be sent to you electronically.

I am sending my request for open records like we talked about on the phone today 10/6/2010

 

1. Any and all emails and paper from Pat Smith, Animal Protection Dept of Agr. in reference to Lowndes County Animal Services. Statements, cruelty investigations, interviews and/or meetings.

 

2. Any and all emails and/or correspondence, statements to and from Lowndes County Manager, human resources (Joe Prichard, Paige Dukes, Suzanna Pittman, Mikey Tillman) to the Department of Agr. Mary Green, Vanessa Smith and Pat Smith. 

 

3. All Complaints to the department of agr. that went through Pat Smith to Dept. of Agr. Animal Protection 

 

4. All emails, paper and correspondence from the Dept of Agr to Lowndes County Board of Commissioners.

 

this will be from 3/1/2010 to date 10/6/2010 including Lowndes County Animal Services yearly evaluations and reprimands.

 

Please let me know if this is ok...I have never filed an open records request before so please bare with me.
