The entity\r\nis a jointly governed organization between the City of Valdosta and\r\nLowndes County. The board of directors is composed of ten members.\r\nThe City appoints four members and the County appoints four members.\r\nThe City Manager and County Manager sit as Ex-Officio members on the\r\nboard.\r\n<\/p>\r\n<p>\r\nThe Authority is funded through lodging taxes assessed by the City\r\nof Valdosta and Lowndes County.
