Faircloth (apparently the <a href=\"http:\/\/doctor.ehealthinsurance.com\/physician-profile\/john-faircloth-ba-MzM2OTYyMSw2MDAwMzY3OSwzMC44OTk2NDEsLTgzLjMzMDgzMQ==\">Nurse Practitioner<\/a>)\r\nDr. Rebecca Green (presumably the\r\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/pub\/rebecca-green\/63\/a07\/482\">\r\nVSU Assistant Professor and former Valdosta City School Nurse<\/a>).\r\nI&#8217;m guessing, because the public didn&#8217;t get to see the\r\n&#8220;dossier on each of these&#8221; that County Manager Joe Pritchard\r\nsaid he gave the Commissioners.\r\nNone of the applicants showed up to speak.\r\n<p style=\"font-style:normal\">\r\nIncumbent Mary Margaret Richardson was not on the list;\r\nshe was recently (27 May 2014)\r\nappointed to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.l-a-k-e.org\/blog\/2014\/06\/reappointments-and-no-annexation-in-regular-session-lcc-2014-05-27-lcc-2014-05-27.html\">the Hospital Board<\/a>.\r\n<\/p>\r\n<p style=\"font-style:normal\">\r\nCommissioner Demarcus Marshall wanted to know &#8220;What is the term limit\r\non this appointment?&#8221;\r\nPritchard didn&#8217;t know, and apparently it wasn&#8217;t in those dossiers.\r\nSome staff member spoke up from the audience saying three years.\r\nChairman Bill Slaughter said they&#8217;d verify that.\r\nMarshall wondered if it was four years.\r\nSlaughter said the terms of the various boards varied, but they\r\nwould check.\r\nMaybe somebody should\r\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.l-a-k-e.org\/blog\/2013\/11\/check-our-work-esp-about-the-pipeline-gretchen-quarterman-lcc-2013-11-12.html\">\r\ncheck Pritchard&#8217;s work<\/a> before the Work Session&#8230;.\r\n<\/p>\r\n<p style=\"font-style:normal\">\r\nAccording to the\r\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.valdostacity.com\/Modules\/ShowDocument.aspx?documentid=3147\">\r\nValdosta City Council Minutes of 11 November 2010<\/a>,\r\n<\/p>\r\n<blockquote>\r\n<p>\r\nMark Barber, Deputy City Manager of Administration, stated that the\r\nLowndes County Board of Health has a member, Dr. Mary Margaret Richardson,\r\nwhose term will expire on December 31, 2010.\r\n<\/p>\r\n<\/blockquote>\r\n<p style=\"font-style:normal\">\r\n2014 minus 2010 is 4, so apparently Marshall is right: it&#8217;s four years.\r\nAnd apparently this is one of those rotating city-county seats, if\r\nValdosta made the appointment last time and the county is doing it this time.\r\nOr maybe I picked the wrong term that is up.\r\nIf the county posted these things before the meeting, we&#8217;d all know.\r\n<\/p>\r\n<p style=\"font-style:normal\">\r\nMeanwhile, I called the Health Department and asked.\r\nNo term has expired.\r\nSheila Warren moved out of state and resigned.\r\nher term ends in December 2015, so until then is the amount\r\nof time the new appointee will serve.\r\nThe actual length of a term is six (6) years.\r\n<\/p>\r\n<li>\r\n<a name=\"Purchase-of-Alapaha-and-Spring-Creek-Equipment\" href=\"#Purchase-of-Alapaha-and-Spring-Creek-Equipment\">\r\n6.a.
