\r\n\r\n<\/a>\r\nThe Commission awarded no-bid contracts to Lovell Engineering (for\r\nZipperer Road<\/a>\r\nand\r\nBoring Pond Road<\/a>)\r\nand\r\nASA Engineering\r\n(for\r\nCoppage Road<\/a>).\r\nThree of the seven board appointees showed up and spoke:\r\nSam Allen and Penelope Schmidt for\r\nLibrary Board<\/a>,\r\nand\r\nand Russell Mast for\r\nVLPRA<\/a>.\r\nThe Commission appointed all of them unanimously, including\r\nno-shows\r\n\r\nTerri Lupo to VLCIA<\/a>,\r\nMartha Cunningham and Matt Lawrence to\r\nLibrary Board<\/a>,\r\nand\r\nSusan Prince to\r\nVLPRA<\/a>.\r\nChairman Bill Slaughter consistently omitted the “Valdosta”\r\nfrom the names of all these boards, even though the reason VLCIA\r\nand VLPRA exist is a state law requirement for no overlap between\r\nuninincorporated and incorporated area taxation for such services.\r\n

\r\nThere was no public hearing for\r\nWhitewater Road<\/a> because the applicant withdrew it,\r\nand half of\r\nNelson Hill<\/a>\r\nwas withdrawn while the other half was tabled.\r\n

\r\nFour of the nine contracts were\r\n\r\napproved all at once<\/a>.\r\nMr. Anti-Grant Commissioner Richard Raines actually made the motion\r\nto approve\r\n\r\nthe EPMG grant request<\/a>.\r\n

\r\nThey finally posted an agenda<\/a>\r\nafter the Work Session.\r\nAnd they added\r\n\r\nanother item<\/a>\r\nto an\r\n\r\namended agenda<\/a> between the Work Session and the Regular Session.\r\n<\/p>\r\n
