Seminole Circle Property\n<br>\n7.b. Request from LCSO &mdash; GOHS Grant #2013-TEN-0077-00 &#038; #2013-GA-0040-00\n<\/blockquote>\nYour guess is as good as mine about the Seminole Circle Property.\nIf the Commission wanted we the public to know, they would have told us.\n<p>\n<strong>Update 2012 05 06:<\/strong> fixed the date in the title.\n<p>\nHowever, I believe that 7.b. alphabet soup translates as\nLowndes County Sheriff&#8217;s Office (LCSO)\n&mdash; Governor&#8217;s Office of Highway Safety (GOHS).\nThe TEN in the grant numbers makes me\nwonder if those grants are related to GOHS&#8217;s\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.gahighwaysafety.org\/trafficnet.html\">\nGeorgia Traffic Enforcement Networks:<\/a>\n<blockquote>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.gahighwaysafety.org\/trafficnet.html#Traffic_Enforcement_Network_Map\">\n<img style=\"float:right;border:none;\"   width=\"250\" height=\"323\"\nsrc=\"http:\/\/www.gahighwaysafety.org\/images\/netmap412.jpg\"><\/a>\nThe Governor&#8217;s Office of Highway Safety in cooperation with state\nand local law enforcement agencies has organized regional Traffic\nEnforcement Networks around the State of Georgia. There are\ncurrently sixteen regional traffic enforcement networks servicing\nall 159 counties in Georgia. The regional networks are open to all\nsworn law enforcement officers and prosecutors and are designed to\nenhance traffic enforcement activities through networking, training\nand legislation. The networks serve as a catalyst for traffic\nenforcement officers to voice their concerns and share ideas with\ntheir counterparts from other agencies in their region. Guest\nspeakers and panelists have included state and municipal court\njudges, prosecutors, legislators, MADD representatives, Public\nService Commission, and ALS judges.\n<\/blockquote>\nLCSO participates in this TEN:\n<blockquote>\nSouthern Regional Traffic Enforcement Network (SRTEN)\nCounties included: Atkinson, Lowndes, Berrien, Brooks, Clinch, Coffee,\nCook, Echols, Irwin, Lanier, Ben Hill and Tift.\n<\/blockquote>\nOr maybe they&#8217;re just buying another\n<a href=\"\/blog\/2012\/02\/i-am-very-concerned-about-a-community-that-would-purchase-an-armored-vehicle-over-weather-radios-sharon-flory.html\">\ntank.<\/a>\nOr will the Commission require that\n&#8220;surrounding counties could be persuaded to contribute&#8221; financially\nlike they did when refusing\n<a href=\"\/blog\/2011\/03\/the-learning-curve-is-very-steep-ken-klanicki.html\">an emergency vehicle grant<\/a>?\n<p>\nI&#8217;m guessing the Commissioners won&#8217;t like me guessing what they&#8217;re up to.\nBut, you know, if they told us, for example by\n<a href=\"\/blog\/2012\/03\/georgia-takes-steps-towards-more-open-government-could-take-more.html\">\nputting board packet details online with the agendas<\/a>,\nwe wouldn&#8217;t have to guess.\n<p>\nHere&#8217;s\n<a href=\"http:\/\/lowndescounty.com\/files\/agenda\/Agenda%204-10-12.pdf\">\nthe agenda.<\/a>\n<p>\n-jsq\n<blockquote>\n<center>\nLOWNDES COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS\n<br>\nPROPOSED AGENDA\n<br>\nWORK SESSION, MONDAY, APRIL 9, 2012, 8:30 a.m.\n<br>\nREGULAR SESSION, TUESDAY, APRIL 10, 2012, 5:30 p.m.\n<br>\n327 N.
