County cases,\r\napparently waiting for County Planner Jason Davenport to arrive from the\r\n<a time<\/a>.\r\nCity Planner Matt Martin mentioned\r\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.l-a-k-e.org\/blog\/2014\/04\/videos-no-you-cannot-speak-lcc-2014-04-22.html#Annexation-and-Rezoning-Application-received-by-the-City-of-Hahira\">\r\nLowndes County Commission letter of objection of 22 April 2014<\/a>\r\nand that the resubmission of the application reduced its size to\r\nobviate the county&#8217;s objections, but the county still had reservations,\r\nand <a href=\"http:\/\/www.l-a-k-e.org\/blog\/2014\/06\/reappointments-and-no-annexation-in-regular-session-lcc-2014-05-27-lcc-2014-05-27.html#City-of-Hahira-Annexation-Request-Agreement\">the County Commission had just tabled this item<\/a>\r\na few minutes before.\r\nAt GLPC much discussion about why annex now if there were no current plans \r\nto develop.\r\n<\/p>\r\n<p style=\"font-style:normal\">\r\nApplicant\r\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Snfm30YlU6E&#038;t=15m\">\r\nLaurence Nelson<\/a> spoke for.\r\nHahira residents\r\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Snfm30YlU6E&#038;t=23m\">\r\nTroy Davis<\/a>,\r\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Snfm30YlU6E&#038;t=29m30s\">\r\nJohn Adams<\/a>,\r\n<a annexation was premature.\r\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=YRDsphWMFWI&#038;t=1m48s\">\r\nTommy Willis said<\/a> the conservation easement would mean\r\nadditional taxes coming in to the city of Hahira would be minimal.\r\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=YRDsphWMFWI&#038;t=3m10s\">\r\nCeline Gladwin said<\/a> she was concerned about the annexation\r\nsprawing into Hahira&#8217;s greenbelt of agricultural land.\r\n<p style=\"font-style:normal\">\r\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=YRDsphWMFWI&#038;t=5m52s\">\r\nTommy Willis tried a motion<\/a> to deny annexation.\r\nHe was reminded by City Planner Matt Martin that they actually\r\nhad to take up the rezoning first, before the annexation.\r\nThis led to lengthy discussion about how that would work,\r\nand that E-A zoning doesn&#8217;t exist in Hahira,\r\nand if no rezoning was approved, it would default to R-15,\r\nwhich was the most restrictive in Hahira.\r\n<p
