\r\n\r\n<\/a>\r\nThe South Georgia Regional Library Board of Trustees announced the\r\nresignation Thursday of Director Kelly Lenz.\r\n<\/p>\r\n

\r\nLenz has accepted the position as the director of the Middle Georgia\r\nRegional Library System. Since 2008, she has served in various\r\npositions with the South Georgia Regional Library.\r\n<\/p>\r\n<\/blockquote>\r\n

\r\n\r\n<\/a>\r\nThe\r\n\r\nMiddle Georgia Regional Library System<\/a>\r\nsays it is headquartered at the Macon-Bibb County Public Libraries\r\nand serves Bibb, Crawford, Jones, Macon, Twiggs, & Wilkinson Counties.\r\n

\r\nThe story says she will continue to work with SGRL until an\r\ninterim director is named, and she starts her new job in Macon 4 August 2014.\r\n

\r\nThe story doesn’t mention\r\n\r\nKelly Lenz cheerfully providing<\/a> a massive\r\n\r\nopen records response<\/a>\r\nabout a\r\ncontroversial architect selection<\/a>,\r\nwhich makes the library more transparent about that $10 million project\r\nthan\r\n\r\nthe Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) about a $3 billion fracked methane pipeline project<\/a>;\r\nFERC \r\ntwice refused<\/a>\r\nto release a tax-funded RFP or the proposals returned for it.\r\nThe story also didn’t mention\r\n\r\nKelly Lenz orchestrating library board candidates setting an example<\/a>\r\nat the Lowndes County Commission\r\nof how to talk about themselves when applying to be on an appointed board.\r\n

\r\nMeanwhile,\r\n\r\nKay Harris resigned as Chair and from the Library Board 15 March 2013<\/a>,\r\nso the library soon will be under completely new upper-level management.\r\n
