\r\n\r\n<\/a>\r\nChairman Bill Slaughter started this morning’s budget session as\r\n“the first of our two public meetings on the budget before that\r\nbudget will be adopted; basically a work session to go over the budget.”\r\nDoes that mean it is a Public Hearing?\r\nIf so, why do the county’s front page and calendar link to\r\n\r\na blank page<\/a> for a “Budget Session”,\r\nand there’s no Public Notice, even though there were\r\nPublic Notices for\r\n\r\nthe two road abandonments on the agenda for the Work Session and Regular Session<\/a>?\r\nHow can it be a Public Hearing if it’s not announced as such\r\nand the public doesn’t know about it?\r\nGretchen says that near the end they clarified that this was not a\r\nPublic Hearing, and there would be two actual Public Hearings\r\nbefore the budget was adopted, although when is still a mystery.\r\n<\/p>\r\n
