\r\nWhy is the Lowndes County Commission spending our tax dollars to sue\r\na local company for collecting trash, in appeal at the Georgia Supreme Court this morning?\r\nWhy not just let Deep South Sanitation compete with\r\n\r\nAdvanced Disposal Services<\/a>?\r\nPerhaps we should “stop wasting taxpayer money”,\r\nas\r\n\r\nGretchen said to the Commission a year ago<\/a>.\r\n

\r\n\r\n<\/a>\r\nDear Friends of Deep South, we have been notified that a date for\r\nthe “APPEAL” has been set for Monday, May 19, 2014 @ 10am to be held\r\nin Atlanta, Ga. before the Supreme Court. The Lowndes County\r\nAttorney along with Advanced Disposal’s Attorney’s will have the\r\nopportunity to argue their case. Our Attorney, Rob Plumb will speak\r\non behalf of Deep South and for the people. There will not be a\r\nruling on this day. We will post the results of the Court’s ruling\r\non our FB page as soon as we receive word.—As always, we thank\r\nall of you for your prayers and support. God Bless America!\r\n<\/p>\r\n<\/blockquote>\r\n

\r\n\r\n<\/a>\r\n“Thank you” to every one for your thoughts and prayers. Cary and\r\nTrevor just left headed to Atlanta. The appeal will be heard by the\r\nSupreme Court and a ruling should come at a later date. Hopefully,\r\nthis will be the end of the lawsuit filed by the County and Advanced\r\nDisposal. We will post any news on our FB page as soon as we get\r\nword from our Attorney. Thanks again, your support means the world\r\nto us.\r\n<\/p>\r\n<\/blockquote>\r\n

\r\nAs Gretchen said\r\n\r\na year ago to the Commissioners who voted for that unnecessary\r\nlawsuit<\/a>,\r\n

\r\n

\r\n\r\n<\/a>\r\nI wonder which one of you said “This will really attract\r\npeople to start or relocate business in our county when we sue one\r\nof our local business owners.”\r\n<\/p>\r\n

\r\nIf I were considering a business move, I wouldn’t move to a county\r\nthat eats its own.\r\n<\/p>\r\n

\r\nI ask that you drop the lawsuit and stop wasting taxpayer money.\r\nThank you.\r\n<\/p>\r\n<\/blockquote>\r\n

\r\nWe don’t have to be a county like that.\r\nLet’s change some Commissioners and stop this waste of taxpayer money.\r\n
