\r\nOn market Saturdays, vendors offer a variety of goods for sale such\r\nas locally-grown, locally-raised, locally-produced fruits and\r\nvegetables, plants, herbs, meats, farm-fresh eggs and dairy\r\nproducts, organic produce, baked and prepared foods, snacks and\r\ncoffee. Patrons will also find a variety of artisan and natural\r\nproducts including products made from recycled goods, birdhouses,\r\nhandmade soaps and body products, candles, and honey products. Those\r\nwho arrive early to shop have the advantage of beating the heat and\r\ngetting the best picks of the season.\r\n<\/p>\r\n

\r\nThe market also serves as a venue to educate the community on\r\nhealthy local options. Cooking demonstrations and information\r\npromoting healthy eating habits are available on site for market\r\npatrons and emphasize the correlation between food choices and the\r\nimpact they have on the general health and environment. In addition,\r\nSupplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) participants can\r\nuse their Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) cards to purchase goods.\r\n<\/p>\r\n
