Baird, Joseph Condo, James T. Murphy, Michael Polsky, and James J. Output from the plants is sold to Georgia Power under\r\nlong-term power purchase agreements, awarded to Invenergy under the\r\nutility&#8217;s Medium-Scale Advanced Solar Initiative.\r\n<\/p>\r\n<p>\r\n&ldquo;Lakeland is our first power generation facility in Georgia,\r\nand we&#8217;re really pleased to create a new source of clean, homegrown\r\nenergy in Lanier County,&rdquo; said Jim Shield, Chief Development\r\nOfficer at Invenergy. &ldquo;We greatly appreciate the support we&#8217;ve\r\nreceived, and are proud to invest in the local area. Invenergy looks\r\nforward to a longterm, successful relationship with our host\r\ncommunity.&rdquo;\r\n<\/p>\r\n<p>\r\nConstruction on Lakeland began in October of 2013 and created 50\r\ntemporary jobs.
