The openings range from the\r\nHistoric Preservation Commission, to Valdosta Airport Authority, and\r\neven keep Lowndes-Valdosta Beautiful. Mayor Gayle says you don&#8217;t\r\nneed any previous experience to apply.\r\n<\/p>\r\n<p>\r\n&#8220;You don&#8217;t have to have a certain amount of education or a college\r\ndegree. We&#8217;re just basically looking for people that are willing to\r\nserve and there&#8217;s no educational requirement. Other than the\r\nbackground check and the code of ethics, and the willingness to\r\nserve; that&#8217;s it.&#8221;\r\n<\/p>\r\n<\/blockquote>\r\n<p>\r\nAccording to Valdosta&#8217;s\r\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.valdostacity.com\/Modules\/ShowDocument.aspx?documentid=6034\">\r\nGeneral Membership Requirements<\/a>\r\nyou don&#8217;t have to live in the City of Valdosta, just in Lowndes County:\r\n<blockquote style=\"font-size:100%\">\r\n2. Nominees must be a resident of Lowndes County for at least six (6) months prior to their nomination.\r\n<br>\r\n4.
