Mayor Gayle says you don&#8217;t<br \/>\nneed any previous experience to apply.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n&#8220;You don&#8217;t have to have a certain amount of education or a college<br \/>\ndegree. We&#8217;re just basically looking for people that are willing to<br \/>\nserve and there&#8217;s no educational requirement. Other than the<br \/>\nbackground check and the code of ethics, and the willingness to<br \/>\nserve; that&#8217;s it.&#8221;\n<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\nAccording to Valdosta&#8217;s<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.valdostacity.com\/Modules\/ShowDocument.aspx?documentid=6034\"><br \/>\nGeneral Membership Requirements<\/a><br \/>\nyou don&#8217;t have to live in the City of Valdosta, just in Lowndes County:<\/p>\n<blockquote style=\"font-size:100%\"><p>\n2. Nominees must be a resident of Lowndes County for at least six (6) months prior to their nomination.<br \/>\n<br \/>\n4.
