So we wanted to make sure that<!--more--> we were\r\ndoing all that we could to ensure that it would not impact any\r\nparticular landowner, or resident as much as possible. We wanted to\r\ntry and prevent any type of disturbances, and that was the action by\r\nthe commissioners.&rdquo;\r\n<\/p>\r\n<\/blockquote>\r\n<p>\r\nTwo counties and counting:\r\n<blockquote style=\"font-size:100%\">\r\n<p>\r\nBrooks is the second South Georgia county to adopt a resolution\r\ntrying to lessen the impact of the pipeline on its landowners.\r\n<\/p>\r\n<p>\r\n<a href=\"http:\/\/spectrabusters.org\/2014\/03\/13\/resolution-sabal-trail-natural-gas-pipeline-colquitt-county-board-of-commissioners\/\">\r\n<img decoding=\"async\" style=\"float:right;border:none;width:150px\" src=\"http:\/\/spectrabusters.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/ColquittXCountyXResolutionsXReguardingXPipeline-001-small.jpg\"><\/a>\r\n&ldquo;What we did was similar to\r\n<a href=\"http:\/\/spectrabusters.org\/2014\/03\/13\/resolution-sabal-trail-natural-gas-pipeline-colquitt-county-board-of-commissioners\/\">\r\nwhat Colquit County did<\/a>. We passed\r\na resolution that has some wording in there that we&#8217;re urging them\r\nto use a five-foot minimal cover, instead of the three foot,&rdquo;\r\nDeVane said. &ldquo;It&#8217;s not a resolution saying they have to do it.\r\nIt&#8217;s just a strong recommendation.&rdquo;\r\n<\/p>\r\n<\/blockquote>\r\n<p>\r\nThe article says Brooks County also submitted the resolution\r\nto FERC, but it hasn&#8217;t shown up yet on FERC&#8217;s ecomment system.\r\n<p>\r\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.l-a-k-e.org\/blog\/2014\/04\/change-order-klvb-and-pipeline-lcc-2014-04-08.html#Noll\">\r\n<img decoding=\"async\" style=\"float:right;border:none;\" src=\"http:\/\/i1.ytimg.com\/vi\/tmUKeePHuHY\/default.jpg\"><\/a>\r\nLowndes County Chairman Bill Slaughter filed\r\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.l-a-k-e.org\/blog\/2014\/04\/on-the-behalf-of-the-commission-and-citizens-of-lowndes-county-lowndes-county-chairman-bill-slaughter-to-ferc-about-the-sabal-trail-methane-pipeline.html\">\r\na comment with FERC<\/a> 11 April 2014 with 14 items\r\nSabal Trail would be expected to follow.\r\nThat&#8217;s good, but when will\r\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.l-a-k-e.org\/blog\/2014\/04\/change-order-klvb-and-pipeline-lcc-2014-04-08.html#Noll\">\r\nthe Lowndes County Commission pass a resolution or ordinance<\/a>?\r\n<p>\r\n -jsq\r\n<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Colquitt, Brooks, next Lowndes?
