If a voting board member of a board being appointed is on that second board, should he recuse himself? What if he&#8217;s one of the people being considered for appointment?<\/p>\n<p>The Lowndes County Commission at its <a href=\"\/blog\/2012\/05\/videos-lcc-2012-05-07.html\"> 7 May 2012 Work Session<\/a> considered <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=fWCltrSa3yk&amp;list=PLD5EF212186C85953&amp;index=1&amp;feature=plpp_video\"> 5. Appointments &#8211; Lowndes County Development Authority<\/a>. That&#8217;s a completely different board from the Valdosta-Lowndes County Industrial Authority (VLCIA). You may wonder, what does it do? I wonder that, too.<\/p>\n<p>According to County Manager Joe Pritchard, the County Commission is considering reappointing several people to LCDA. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=fWCltrSa3yk&amp;list=PLD5EF212186C85953&amp;index=1&amp;feature=plpp_video\"> <img decoding=\"async\" style=\"float:right;border:none;\" class=\"at-xid-6a0120a58214e4970b0163055cf345970d\" src=\"\/blog\/images\/6a0120a58214e4970b0163055cf345970d-pi.jpg\"    \/><\/a><\/p>\n<blockquote>They are Jerome Tucker, [mumble, mumble, and mumble].<\/blockquote>\n<p>The Commission didn&#8217;t give us anything in writing to go by. He may even be one of the people they are considering appointing.
