\r\nCandidates for Lowndes County Commission\r\nwent on the record (\r\nMark Wisenbaker<\/a>\r\nand\r\n\r\nTom Hochschild<\/a> both running for District 3,\r\nand\r\n\r\nNorman Bennett<\/a>\r\nand\r\n\r\nGretchen Quarterman<\/a> both running for District 5),\r\nplus\r\n\r\na statement by County Chairman Bill Slaughter<\/a>,\r\nin addition to essential background information from\r\ndirectly affected landowners in the audience and from the panelists\r\non why the proposed\r\nSabal Trail methane pipeline\r\nis\r\n\r\nbad for property values<\/a>,\r\nis\r\n\r\nhazardous here and elsewhere<\/a>,\r\nand\r\n\r\nwill be obsolete in a few decades<\/a>,\r\nall at\r\n\r\na SpectraBusters panel on the Sabal Trail pipeline at VSU<\/a>,\r\nSaturday 29 March 2014.\r\n

\r\nThe panelists were\r\n\r\nLarry Rodgers<\/a>, a directly affected landowner,\r\n\r\nDanielle Jordan<\/a>, president of Students Against Violating the Environment (S.A.V.E.),\r\n\r\nMichael G. Noll<\/a>, president of Wiregrass Activists for Clean Energy (WACE),\r\nand an empty chair for Mrs. Susan Waller of Spectra Energy,\r\nwho declined to attend.\r\n\r\nJohn S. Quarterman<\/a>\r\nalso spoke for another allied organization, WWALS Watershed Coalition.\r\n

\r\nSeveral other directly-affected landowners spoke from the audience,\r\nincluding\r\n\r\nCarol Singletary<\/a> and\r\n\r\nRick Hastings<\/a>.\r\n
