This leaves Lowndes\r\nCounty Commission candidate Tally M. &ldquo;Mark&rdquo; Wisenbaker,\r\nJr., unopposed making him the de facto Republican nominee for the\r\nLowndes County Commission District 3 seat.\r\n\r\n<\/p>\r\n<\/blockquote>\r\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/mark.wisenbaker.5?fref=ts\">\r\n<img decoding=\"async\" style=\"float:right;border:none\" src=\"https:\/\/fbcdn-profile-a.akamaihd.net\/hprofile-ak-prn1\/t1.0-1\/c0.52.200.200\/p200x200\/1620912_10203180406051451_1049904606_n.jpg\"><\/a>\r\nCrawford Powell wrote on his\r\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/crawford.powell\/posts\/660322754015317?stream_ref=10\">facebook page 26 March 2014<\/a>,\r\n<blockquote style=\"font-size:100%\">\r\n<p>\r\n\r\nI have decided at this time I will not be pursuing the seat for the\r\nGeorgia House of Representatives District 174; and I will be\r\nwithdrawing myself for consideration for the upcoming election.\r\n<\/p>\r\n<p>\r\nI am truly appreciative of all those that have supported and\r\nencouraged me for this position and my prior elected and appointed\r\npositions here in Lowndes County. This will mean that Tom Hochschild, my\r\ncolleague at Valdosta State University, will be running unopposed in\r\nthe primary and will be the Democratic Party nominee .\r\n<\/p>\r\n<p>\r\nI have strong opinions about many of the issues which face Lowndes\r\nCounty and a new vision of the future for the county. I am\r\nconvinced, however, that Tom shares that vision and will articulate\r\nit well. While I was excited about my own candidacy, this is a very\r\nbusy time in my personal and professional life and I am not prepared\r\nto sacrifice the time required to serve the county fully.\r\n<\/p>\r\n<p>\r\nI fully expect that Tom Hochschild will win the coming election and\r\nreinvigorate the county commission.
