    \r\nCurious how the County Clerk couldn’t find an accounting for\r\nlandfill tipping fees<\/a>.\r\nAnd even if they did have an accounting of that,\r\n\r\nclosing the waste collection centers and suing a local business<\/a>\r\nis hardly even penny-wise, and surely is pound-foolish.\r\nAnd strategy at that level is not the job of the Finance Director;\r\nit’s the job of the elected Commissioners.\r\n<\/p>\r\n

        \r\nFormer County Commissioner Richard C. Lee and Janice C. Lee spoke for,\r\nsaying it’s a five acre tract next to where they live,\r\ncut out of a 57 acre tract 30-odd years ago.\r\nHis father-in-law and mother-in-law lived there.\r\nThey are deceased, and now the property is being divided among the heirs.\r\nThey want to merge it with Mrs. Lee’s property,\r\nand due to the size, the rezoning is needed.\r\n

        \r\n\"REZ-2014-05<\/a>\r\n\r\nVideo.<\/a>\r\nI also spoke for, mentioning that I’d been through one of these things not\r\ntoo long ago, so I hoped this could all be handled smoothly so the estate\r\ncould be settled.\r\nI mentioned to Commissioner Lee that he had once spoken up against\r\na rezoning I opposed next to my property, so I thought I would speak up for\r\nthe rezoning he was requested.\r\n

        \r\nCommissioner Marshall moved to approve; Commissioner Raines seconded,\r\nall approved.\r\n<\/p>\r\n

      3. \r\n\r\nREZ-2014-06 Cobb Property, 4799 Hickory Grove Rd E-A to R-A, Well and Septic, 3.65 acres<\/a>\r\n\"REZ-2014-06<\/a>\r\n

        \r\nVideo.<\/a>\r\nNeeded because of long and narrow lot size.\r\nHealth Dept. testing was required and has been done.\r\nPlanning Commission recommended approval.\r\nNobody spoke against.\r\nSandra Golden Cobb, the applicant, and Nicole Golden spoke for,\r\nsaying they wanted the rezoning for her son.\r\nUnanimous approval.\r\n<\/p>\r\n

        \r\nVideo.<\/a>\r\nRural Planned Development, for events.\r\nCounty Planner Jason Davenport mostly repeated a short version of\r\n\r\nwhat was said the previous morning<\/a> at the Work Session,\r\nthen handed out a revised site plan.\r\nIf you want to see it, you have to file an open records request and wait three days.\r\nHe also wanted to write in a permission for an outdoor concert related\r\nto some other celebration, such as a wedding.\r\nCommissioners Marshall and Powell had a few questions.\r\nNobody spoke against.\r\nThe applicant, Ed Lund, spoke for, remarking he had been handed\r\nthe additional verbiage about five minutes before, but he had\r\nno problem with it.\r\nThey spent almost ten minutes on this one.\r\nThen they approved it unanimously, with the additional verbiage\r\nproposed by staff.\r\n<\/p>\r\n

      5. \r\n\r\nGrant Re-Application for the Rural Transportation Program and Associated Resolution<\/a>\r\n\"Grant<\/a>\r\n

        \r\nVideo.<\/a>\r\nCounty Engineer Mike Fletcher said this was the annual renewal, and:\r\n<\/p>\r\n

        \r\nIn 2013 we had 28,822 trips by MIDS.\r\n<\/blockquote>\r\n

        \r\nIt’s the county’s on-call bus system.\r\nChairman had to be reminded it was a public hearing and to call for\r\nspeakers for and against.\r\nThere were none.\r\nCommissioner Joyce Evans moved to approve, and they all did.\r\n<\/ol>\r\n

        1. \r\n\r\nAdopt Resolution Accepting Infrastructure for Nelson Hill Subdivision Phase II<\/a>\r\n\"Adopt<\/a>\r\n

          \r\nVideo.<\/a>\r\nOne road didn’t pass some test for inclusion and will be omitted this time.\r\nIt will be in Phase II b.\r\nThey renamed this one Phase II a.\r\nCommissioner Demarcus Marshall wanted to know what the bond was.\r\nAnswer: 10% of the construction cost in case anything goes wrong.\r\nCommissioner Crawford Powell made the motion, Marshall seconded, all approved.\r\n<\/p>\r\n

        2. \r\n\r\niVision Master Service Agreement<\/a>\r\n\"iVision<\/a>\r\n

          \r\nVideo.<\/a>\r\nIT Director Aaron Kostyu said iVision is a certified integrator of\r\nservices for cisco, Microsoft, and others.\r\nInititally they plan to use iVision for Microsoft SQL.\r\nThis is a master agreement that handles legal wording and permits statement\r\nof work for further projects.\r\nNo questions from Commissioners, who unanimously approved.\r\n<\/p>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n

        3. \r\n\r\nReports-County Manager<\/a>\r\n\"County<\/a>\r\n

          \r\nVideo.<\/a>\r\nNo report.\r\nAnd nothing was said about\r\n\r\nthe annexation request from Lake Park<\/a>\r\nor\r\noptions on approval of it<\/a>,\r\nboth discussed at length at the previous morning’s Work Session.\r\n<\/p>\r\n
