\r\n\r\n<\/a>\r\nSpectra was unwilling to consider adapting\r\ntheir Sabal Trail pipeline plan to include renewable energy,\r\nother than to continue reiterating that they do natural gas pipelines,\r\nand to refer to renewables only as “alternative” energy.\r\n

\r\nLaura Dailey asked at the\r\n\r\nGilchrist County Commission meeting 20 February 2014<\/a>:\r\n

\r\n\r\n<\/a>\r\nWill the pipelines be adaptable to future use of\r\nother forms of energy besides the transmission of fossil fuels.\r\nAnybody know that?\r\n<\/blockquote>\r\n

\r\nBrian Fahrentholdt of Spectra answered:\r\n

\r\n\r\n<\/a>\r\nI would like to reiterate.\r\nWe’re in the natural gas business.\r\nWe build pipelines.\r\nWe operate pipelines.\r\nWe’re not opposed to alternative forms of energy.\r\nBut that is predominately why we’re here today.\r\n<\/blockquote>\r\n

\r\nLaura Dailey tried again:\r\n

\r\n\r\n<\/a>\r\nMy question is:\r\nWill Sabal consider in their design, since the design\r\nhas not been finished, and if we’re going to do it right,\r\nbefore the infrastructure gets built,\r\nwould be seemingly the right time to make the decision,\r\nI understand that the FERC has a no app action option,\r\nwhich would give Sabal two to five years to consider\r\nhow we can build a pipeline, creating more….\r\n<\/blockquote>\r\n
