\r\nGood Morning and Happy New Year!\r\n<\/p>\r\n

\r\n\r\n<\/a>\r\nWe would like to invite you to one or more workshops to help us\r\ndevelop a Digital Economy Plan for our Region.\r\n<\/p>\r\n

\r\nThe Southern Georgia Regional Commission, in partnership with the \r\nGeorgia Technology Authority, is coordinating and developing a\r\nDigital Economy Plan for the 18 counties in the South Georgia\r\nRegion to identify the unique characteristics of the digital\r\neconomy in our region, its strengths, weaknesses, its needs and its\r\nopportunities.\r\n<\/p>\r\n

\r\nThe focus and intent of the plan is to document existing digital \r\nresources, assets and opportunities within the Region in terms of \r\ninfrastructure, services and technology; but also to identify\r\nexisting and future weaknesses and gaps in those same areas.\r\n<\/p>\r\n

\r\nThe workshops are intended to cover a wide cross-section of \r\nbusiness\/industry sectors including agriculture, population groups,\r\nas well as the health and education sectors to assess these needs\r\nand opportunities of the digital economy within our Region. These\r\nworkshops will provide an excellent opportunity for input and\r\nfeedback about Georgia’s and this Region’s goal to grow the Digital\r\nEconomy and we encourage everyone to attend at least one of the\r\nfive workshops scheduled. A survey will be part of the workshop.\r\nThis survey will also be distributed within the region to gather\r\nbroader information and feedback on the regional digital economy as\r\npart of a larger statistical analysis. The survey will be available\r\non-line for a specified period of time.\r\n<\/p>\r\n
