Now, after eight years and a U.S. Environmental Protection\r\nAgency (USEPA) supervised cleanup of the industrial site,\r\ncontamination still threatens the health of local residents,\r\nmunicipal drinking water supplies and tributaries to the Satilla\r\nRiver.\r\n<\/p>\r\n<\/blockquote>\r\n<p>\r\n<a href=\"http:\/\/votesmart.org\/candidate\/31908\/ellis-black\">\r\n<img decoding=\"async\" style=\"float:right;border:none;\" src=\"http:\/\/votesmart.org\/canphoto\/31908.jpg\"><\/a>\r\nAlso met there but not in the above meeting picture:\r\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.staterepspencer.com\/\">\r\nGA Rep. Ellis Black District 177 State representative Jason Spencer District 180<\/a>\r\nand\r\n<a href=\"http:\/\/votesmart.org\/candidate\/31908\/ellis-black\">\r\nGA state Rep. Ellis Black (district 174)<\/a>.\r\nThis is where Black confirmed he was coming to the\r\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.l-a-k-e.org\/blog\/2013\/11\/spectrabusters-informational-meeting-2013-11-16.html\">\r\nSpectraBusters meeting against the Sabal Trail methane pipeline<\/a>.\r\n<p>\r\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.l-a-k-e.org\/blog\/2013\/04\/when-contamination-gets-into-the-watershed.html\">\r\n<img decoding=\"async\" style=\"float:right;border:none;width:375px\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ec.gc.ca\/eau-water\/6A7FB7B2-4406-4C62-A1D7-C980DDFAF247\/a5f8e.gif\"><\/a>\r\nWhen contamination gets into a watershed,\r\nwhether from a hazardous chemical &#8220;cleanup&#8221; company\r\nor a railroad or a pipeline,\r\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.l-a-k-e.org\/blog\/2013\/04\/when-contamination-gets-into-the-watershed.html\">\r\nit tends to spread<\/a> into the aquifer, drinking water, wetlands, and rivers,\r\nand maybe even into the air.\r\nPerhaps EPA will be more thorough this time.\r\n<p>\r\n<a href=\"#McNeal\">\r\nJoan Martin McNeal of silentdisaster.org<\/a>,\r\n<a href=\"#Nix\">\r\nSatilla Riverkeeper Ashby Nix<\/a>,\r\nand I (in my hat as a director of\r\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.wwals.net\/\">\r\nWWALS Watershed Coalition<\/a>)\r\nwere the last citizens to address\r\n<a href=\"#EPA\">\r\nEPA&#8217;s Matthew J.
