{"id":6866,"date":"2013-12-02T22:06:00","date_gmt":"2013-12-03T03:06:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.l-a-k-e.org\/blog\/?p=6866"},"modified":"2013-12-02T22:05:46","modified_gmt":"2013-12-03T03:05:46","slug":"local-company-trashed-county-commission-lawsuit","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.l-a-k-e.org\/blog\/2013\/12\/local-company-trashed-county-commission-lawsuit.html","title":{"rendered":"Local company trashed County Commission lawsuit"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\r\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/DeepSouthSanitation\/posts\/634177309981291\">\r\n<img decoding=\"async\" style=\"float:right;border:none;\" src=\"https:\/\/fbcdn-profile-a.akamaihd.net\/hprofile-ak-ash3\/c22.0.86.86\/s74x74\/528262_383649531700738_1925598419_s.jpg\"><\/a>\r\nAccording to\r\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/DeepSouthSanitation\/posts\/634177309981291\">\r\nDeep South Sanitation&#8217;s facebook page today<\/a>,\r\nDSS won\r\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.l-a-k-e.org\/blog\/2013\/10\/next-deep-south-sanitation-court-date-25-nov-2013.html\">\r\nthe court case<\/a> brought against them by the Lowndes County Commission.\r\n<p>\r\nSo how much money did the\r\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.l-a-k-e.org\/blog\/2013\/09\/no-contract-and-no-bids-for-county-attorney-yet-20-raise-to-300000.html\">\r\nalleged County Attorney<\/a>\r\nspend sueing a local company to benefit ADS investors in New York City?\r\nThe County Commission was very concerned recently about\r\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.l-a-k-e.org\/blog\/2013\/11\/videos-budget-splost-and-2014-planning-lcc-2013-11-14.html\">\r\nhow much the Sheriff and the Coroner spent<\/a>\r\n(which <a href=\"http:\/\/www.l-a-k-e.org\/blog\/2013\/11\/maybe-county-should-check-its-work-about-other-budgets-lcc-2013-11-14.html\">\r\nthe Sheriff<\/a>\r\nand\r\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.l-a-k-e.org\/blog\/2013\/11\/coroner-responds-to-county-commission-about-budget-lcc-2013-11-14.html\">\r\nthe Coroner<\/a>\r\nably rebutted).\r\nWhy isn&#8217;t the Commission as concerned about spending money on a\r\ncompletely unnecessary lawsuit that they started?\r\nWhy do they let that same attorney\r\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.l-a-k-e.org\/blog\/2013\/07\/videos-attorney-set-different-prices-commissioners-set-millage-date-lcc-2013-07-09.html\">\r\nset prices for purchase orders<\/a>?\r\n<p>\r\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.l-a-k-e.org\/blog\/2013\/06\/exclusive-franchise-for-solid-waste-collection-services-lcc-2012-12-11.html\">\r\n<img decoding=\"async\" style=\"float:right;border:none;\" src=\"http:\/\/www.l-a-k-e.org\/govt\/loco\/waste\/2012-12-11--ads-contract\/small\/20130609_143257.jpg\"><\/a>\r\nThat\r\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.l-a-k-e.org\/blog\/2013\/06\/exclusive-franchise-for-solid-waste-collection-services-lcc-2012-12-11.html\">\r\nexclusive franchise<\/a> with ADS: not so exclusive anymore, is it?\r\n<p>\r\nWill ADS sue the county, as many people rumored was the Commission&#8217;s\r\ngreatest fear?\r\n<p>\r\nWill the county now have to pay DSS&#8217;s attorney fees?\r\nAs a taxpayer I don&#8217;t like the idea of wasting more of my tax dollars\r\non that lawsuit, so maybe they could take it out of the fees or\r\nsalaries of whoever recommended and approved that lawsuit.\r\n<p>\r\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.l-a-k-e.org\/blog\/2013\/11\/maybe-county-should-check-its-work-about-other-budgets-lcc-2013-11-14.html\">\r\n<img decoding=\"async\" style=\"float:right;border:none;\" src=\"http:\/\/farm4.staticflickr.com\/3796\/10857190075_a1be04fbaa_m.jpg\"><\/a>\r\nMaybe somebody down at the county should\r\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.l-a-k-e.org\/blog\/2013\/11\/maybe-county-should-check-its-work-about-other-budgets-lcc-2013-11-14.html\">\r\n&#8220;check our work&#8221;<\/a>.\r\n<p>\r\n -jsq\r\n<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"According to Deep South Sanitation&#8217;s facebook page today, DSS won the court case brought against them by the Lowndes County Commission.
