J. driveway, and confirmed there were no other driveways\r\nor houses on Green Lane.\r\nApparently the other nearby landowner wants to limit access\r\nto his private hunting club.\r\nThis was an initial determination by the Commission;\r\nthere will be a public hearing at a later meeting.\r\n<\/p>\r\n<li>\r\n<a name=\"SGRL\"><\/a>\r\n<a name=\"Library\" href=\"#Library\">South Georgia Regional Library &#8211; David Miller<\/a> presented,\r\napparently about\r\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ojp.usdoj.gov\/ovc\/voca\/vaguide.htm\">\r\nthis U.S. DoJ program<\/a>.\r\nHe said there were no new people, pay raises, etc., involved in this,\r\nand it would be paid for by fines, for the benefit of crimes.\r\n<p style=\"font-style: normal\">\r\nCommissioner John Page wanted to know if it came out of the District Attorney&#8217;s\r\nbudget.\r\nMiller said yes, but it was completely funded by fines levied on criminals.\r\n<p style=\"font-style: normal\">\r\nCommissioner Demarcus Marshall wanted to know what was a list of attorneys\r\nin the documents before him.\r\nMiller said they were attorneys for the victims.\r\n<p style=\"font-style: normal\">\r\nThere was some other discussion, after which they approved it unanimously,\r\nand Miller said he probably wouldn&#8217;t be back for this for another four\r\nor five years.\r\n<p style=\"font-style: normal\">\r\nSheriff Chris Prine was in the audience at the beginning of the meeting,\r\nI&#8217;m guessing for this item, but he left before it was presented.\r\n<p style=\"font-style: normal\">\r\nIn a rare move, the County Clerk updated\r\n<a href=\"http:\/\/lowndescounty.com\/files\/agenda\/Agenda%2010-22-2013%20Amended.pdf\">\r\nthe agenda<\/a> to add this item\r\nbetween the Work Session and the Regular Session.\r\nI complimented County Clerk Paige Dukes on that after the meeting.\r\n<\/p>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n<li>\r\n<a name=\"Reports\" href=\"#Reports\">Reports-County Manager<\/a>\r\n<p style=\"font-style: normal\">\r\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=EKu5powEkvE&#038;list=PLshUv86fYkiFoJXlECeUNAps1_jYPXfN_&#038;index=12\">Video.<\/a>\r\n\r\nAccording to County Manager Joe Pritchard,\r\nLowndes County has received an annexation request from the City of Valdosta on behalf of the Valdosta Lowndes County Industrial Authority.
