\r\nTim and Residents along the Proposed Sabal Trail Pipeline,\r\n<\/p>\r\n

\r\n\r\nBrian Fahrenthold of Sabal Trail Pipeline contacted me yesterday and\r\nrequested an audience with the Lowndes County Commissioners. I have\r\nsubmitted to the chairman a slot for him to address the\r\ncommissioners at our December 09, 2013 work session.\r\n\r\n<\/a>\r\n I am writing\r\nyou to ask your presence at this meeting. The work session will\r\nbegin at 8:30 am. Mr. Fahrenthold will make himself available to\r\ntalk to citizens after our meeting as well. In the meantime, I need\r\nyou to send me your name, address and phone number. It is my\r\nintentions to inquire of other options for Sabal Trail instead of\r\nthrough your property. Please forward to other citizens in\r\nopposition of the gas line through there property. For those in\r\nfavor of their property being used, they need not send me their\r\ncontact information. \r\nThat’s Tim Bland on the far left in the last picture above,\r\nand Demarcus Marshall in the back row middle,\r\nat the\r\n\r\n22 October 2013 Regular Session<\/a>.\r\n

\r\n\r\n<\/a>\r\nYou may recall\r\n\r\nDemarcus Marshall asked back at the Spectra road show 15 October<\/a>\r\nfor Fahrenthold to speak at the 9 Dec 2013 Work Session.\r\nThis isn’t quite the\r\ntown hall Tim Bland asked for<\/a>\r\nbut it’s a start, like\r\n\r\nthe Dougherty County Commission did at their business session back in September<\/a>.\r\nDougherty’s Chairman went ahead and\r\n\r\nheld an actual public hearing within a week<\/a>\r\nfrom which\r\n\r\nwe all learned quite a bit<\/a>.\r\n

\r\n\r\n<\/a>\r\nThe Lowndes County Commission can also have\r\nFahrenthold speak at its Tuesday 10 December Regular Session,\r\nlike it did with Dave Shepler of ADS 12 February 2013<\/a>.\r\nGiven that there’s plenty of time to give public notice between now and then,\r\nthe Commission could even make that a public hearing so citizens could ask\r\nquestions and Spectra could answer in public.\r\n

\r\nIf the Lowndes County Commission is going to do something, it needs\r\nto go ahead and do it, before\r\n\r\nthe Spectra FERC-required Open House roadshow gets to Clyattville 16 December 2013<\/a>.\r\nWill the Lowndes County Commission let Spectra control the message,\r\nor will it help local citizens find out what’s really going on?\r\n<\/p>\r\n
