\r\n\r\n<\/a>\r\nThe most obvious risk of\r\n\r\nthat proposed natural gas pipeline<\/a>\r\nwas seen in another one Monday through today in Oklahoma (and Texas and Kansas):\r\nexplosion and fire.\r\nThe pipeline proposed for here would be 44% bigger; maybe\r\nwe could have an explosion seen from Florida and Alabama!\r\n<\/p>\r\n

\r\nCBS News reported today,\r\n\r\nOkla. pipeline blast sparks huge blaze, spurs evacuations<\/a>,\r\n

\r\n

\r\nDeputy Cliff Brinson, of the Harper County Sheriff’s Department,\r\nsays the fire sounded like four roaring jet engines and had flames\r\nreaching two football fields high.\r\n<\/p>\r\n

\r\nHe says no injuries were reported, and residents within two miles of\r\nthe blast were evacuated.\r\n<\/p>\r\n

\r\nA family of three living in a home about 200 yards away escaped\r\nunharmed, authorities say.\r\n<\/p>\r\n<\/blockquote>\r\n

\r\nBy the time the pipeline company, Northern Natural Gas,\r\nreleased a statement they called it “a flicker”.\r\n
