\r\n\r\n<\/a>\r\nSix minutes on who will be\r\nVice Chairman<\/a> and when,\r\na ceremonial position, as far as I know.\r\n13 minutes on a parade of organizations that want to rent space in the\r\nLeila Ellis<\/a>.\r\nThey vote tonight at 5:30 PM.\r\n

\r\nThe storm that wasn’t was the subject of\r\nAshley Tye’s report<\/a>.\r\nThey tabled\r\nNottinghill<\/a>\r\nlike the Planning Commission did.\r\nThey vote tonight on letting\r\nBarrington subdivision<\/a>\r\nsprawl into the county.\r\nDid Commissioners ever get that list of roads for\r\nstriping<\/a>?\r\nDo we have enough\r\nevidence<\/a> yet for juvenile justice?\r\nOr will we continue to concentrate on\r\nfining people coming off of I-75<\/a>?\r\nAll that and a\r\n\r\ngroup photo<\/a>.\r\nAt least the Work Session yesterday morning\r\nhad some actual discussion in it for a change.\r\n

        \r\nThey tabled his\r\nrezoning that was\r\n\r\ntabled at the Planning Commission<\/a>\r\nat the request of developer and county staff. It will be back.\r\n<\/p>\r\n

        \r\n<\/a>\r\nBarrington subdivision\r\nwas also in \r\n\r\nthat same 23 July 2013 meeting<\/a>.\r\nThis time they’re making water and sewer changes to its plan,\r\npresumably so in a later meeting they can then accept it into the\r\ncounty’s road, water, and sewer infrastructure so the county can\r\nstart paying the price of sprawl.\r\n<\/p>\r\n

      3. \r\n<\/a>\r\n<\/a>\r\n\r\nREZ-2013-13 LCBOC on Behalf of the Lester Family Trust<\/a>\r\n-Doug Lester Whitewater Road, I-75, \r\nWilliams Road, and Belotville Road various to E-A (existing C-H to remain C-H), ~868 acres \r\n

          \r\nCommissioners discussed for more than six minutes\r\nhow the Vice Chairmanship is to be determined and for what length of term.\r\nCounty Attorney Walter Elliot gave historical background,\r\ngoing back to when all the Commissioners were elected at the same time;\r\ntheir terms are staggered now.\r\nApparently they’re going to rotate\r\nthe Vice-Chairmanship among the Commissioners every 8 months.\r\nCommissioners Demarcus Marshall and John Page complained that\r\nthey only just heard of this recently, in one case in the parking lot.\r\nThe\r\n\r\nalleged county attorney<\/a> referred to some state law,\r\nbut it wasn’t clear which one.\r\n<\/p>\r\n

        2. \r\n<\/a>\r\n\r\nLeila Ellis Building-Available Space<\/a>\r\n

          \r\nThe two organizations are currently in the building,\r\nLAMP and Cash Prosperity.\r\nThe County let LAMP use it, and LAMP let Cash Prosperity use it.\r\n

          \r\nIn response to a question from Commissioner DeMarcus Marshall,\r\nCounty Manager Joe Pritchard said under normal circumstances\r\nany organization would need to come to the Commission to ask for space.\r\nThey currently have more applicants than space.\r\n

          \r\nCommissioner Crawford Powell wanted to know if the county was going\r\nto set up guidelines for who could lease.\r\nPritchard said they could, and they couldn’t lease to a private business.\r\n

          \r\nCommissioner Richard Raines wanted to know if annual leases were the practice\r\nof this board.\r\nPritchard said “That would be my suggestion.”\r\n

          \r\nMaybe more later; this went on for some time.\r\n<\/p>\r\n

          \r\n\r\n<\/a>\r\nApparently more about moving\r\n\r\nfines coming off of I-75 from the Sheriff’s Office to the Clerk of Court<\/a>,\r\nincluding funding for three positions along with them.\r\nWill County Manager Joe Pritchard overrule County Chairman Bill Slaughter again?\r\n<\/p>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n
