\r\nRight about now the Zoning Board of Appeals is considering\r\na variance on stream buffers for the medical expansion across\r\n\r\n<\/a>\r\nTwo Mile Branch, as promised\r\n\r\nat the Planning Commission<\/a>\r\nand\r\n\r\nValdosta City Council<\/a>.\r\nIt\r\n\r\nnever flooded there before<\/a>, right?\r\nNevermind that\r\n\r\nflood control measures encourage settling too close and provoke severe flooding events<\/a>\r\nand just yesterday I heard people complaining about water running over\r\nLee Street just downstream from the subject location.\r\nHow will adding more impervious cover right next to the creek help that flooding?\r\n
