Multiple that ten times,&#8221; said Chad\nHarrison, a local resident.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n<a title=\"Greg Gullberg\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/98706376@N00\/8528420112\/\">\n<img decoding=\"async\" style=\"float:right;border:none;\" class=\"at-xid-6a0120a58214e4970b017c374a4b04970b\" src=\"\/blog\/images\/6a0120a58214e4970b017c374a4b04970b-pi.jpg\"  alt=\"Greg Gullberg\"  \/><\/a>\nThe whole area behind their houses is just covered in raw sewage.\nYour boots sink down into it with every step. We&#8217;re talking\neverything from human waste, to toilet paper, to hygiene products\nand a whole other list of things that are just too graphic to\nmention.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n&#8220;Probably about 12 to 14 inches of raw sewage,&#8221; said Harrison. &#8220;It&#8217;s\njust everywhere. It&#8217;s all up and down the creek. It&#8217;s all behind\neverybody&#8217;s houses.&#8221;\n<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\n<a title=\"House\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/98706376@N00\/8527304963\/\">\n<img decoding=\"async\" style=\"float:right;border:none;\" class=\"at-xid-6a0120a58214e4970b017c374a4b0b970b\" src=\"\/blog\/images\/6a0120a58214e4970b017c374a4b0b970b-pi.jpg\"  alt=\"House\"  \/><\/a>\nThere&#8217;s more in\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.wctv.tv\/home\/headlines\/Valdosta-Neighborhood-Covered-In-Raw-Sewage-194700731.html\">\nthe WCTV story,<\/a>\nsuch as that the city has included neighbors in meetings, but has not\nyet changed anything.\nThe city&#8217;s <a href=\"\/blog\/2013\/03\/withlacoochee-wastewater-treatment-plant-fully-operational.html\">PR about the flooding<\/a>\nsays:\n<\/p>\n\n<!--more-->\n<blockquote>\n<a title=\"Withlacoochee Wastewater Treatment Plant\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/98706376@N00\/8528420542\/\">\n<img decoding=\"async\" style=\"float:right;border:none;\" class=\"at-xid-6a0120a58214e4970b017c374a4b10970b\" src=\"\/blog\/images\/6a0120a58214e4970b017c374a4b10970b-pi.jpg\"  alt=\"Withlacoochee Wastewater Treatment Plant\"  \/><\/a>\nWith the flood waters beginning to recede, the city has initiated cleanup\nefforts in low-lying and flooded areas, which include disinfection where\nnecessary. Cleanup efforts will continue for several days or until all\naffected areas have been disinfected and cleaned. Until then, the city\ncontinues to encourage the public to avoid any contact with the flood\nwaters for their health and safety.
