\r\n\r\n<\/a>\r\nThe \r\nrequest for a new State Court Judge<\/a>\r\nby Judge John Kent Edwards Jr. took 27 and a half minutes,\r\nplus his\r\n\r\neight minute explanation of fines moving from Sheriff to State Court<\/a>.\r\nMore people might have showed up to hear if anybody had known about\r\nthese items.\r\nCommissioners asked a surprising number of questions about them\r\nand about\r\nthe\r\nLittle River stream gauge<\/a>\r\nand the\r\nopaque pest control bids<\/a>.\r\nOf course, then people might have seen\r\n\r\nthe proposed third no-bid contract to the same firm this month<\/a>.\r\nThey vote tonight.\r\n

      3. \r\n<\/a>\r\n<\/a>\r\n\r\nBudget Adjustment — Personnel Costs<\/a>\r\n

        \r\nJudge John Kent Edwards Jr. explained that many of the people\r\ngoing through his court or paying fines in Lowndes County\r\ndon’t live here; they come off of I-75,\r\nand now the fine-collecting needs to move from the Sheriff’s office\r\nto the Clerk of Court;\r\nsee\r\n\r\nseparate post<\/a>.\r\n<\/p>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n

      4. \r\n<\/a>\r\n\r\nBid-Pest Control Service<\/a>\r\n

        \r\nPest control for an unannounced amount with no bond from one of two\r\nunannounced bids.\r\nSee\r\n\r\nseparate post<\/a>.\r\n<\/p>\r\n

      5. \r\n\r\nReports-County Manager<\/a>\r\n\r\n

        \r\nCounty Manager Joe Pritchard requested an Executive Session\r\nfor pending litigation and they adjourned into that.\r\n<\/p>\r\n
