\nThe vocal protests in Valdosta are long gone, but the controversy\nover the proposed Biomass plant lingers. This time not for concerns\nof health safety, but over the land.\n<\/p>\n

\nThe Valdosta-Lowndes County Industrial Authority plans to sue\nWiregrass Power LLC to end its contract.\n<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\nThe proposed Biomass Plant was supposed to be a low-cost source of\nefficient energy. Supporters say it would have created hundreds of\njobs. But opponents say the health risks include cancer, lung\ndisease and respiratory disease.\n<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
