\r\nThe Executive Director of the Airport Authority pled for runway funding\r\nat\r\n\r\nthe 23 July 2013 Regular Session of the Lowndes County Commission<\/a>.\r\n<\/p>\r\n

\r\n\r\n<\/a>\r\n\r\n5. SPLOST VII request from Executive Director of Airport Authority<\/a>\r\n<\/blockquote>\r\n

\r\n\r\nThe one public speaker when County Chairman Bill Slaughter\r\n“opened up” the SPLOST VII item<\/a>\r\nwas Jim Galloway,\r\nExecutive Director of the Valdosta-Lowndes County Airport Authority,\r\nwho noted SPLOST VII included nothing for the airport from the county\r\nor any of the cities.\r\nThe long runway is federally funded, but the shorter runway is not.\r\nHe asked for county funding.\r\nwhich I see now lists its board members on\r\n\r\nits website<\/a>:\r\n
