{"id":5099,"date":"2013-08-11T22:34:45","date_gmt":"2013-08-12T02:34:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.l-a-k-e.org\/blog\/?p=5099"},"modified":"2013-08-11T22:38:05","modified_gmt":"2013-08-12T02:38:05","slug":"little-guys-must-stick-to-the-letter-of-the-uldc-glpc-2013-07-29","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.l-a-k-e.org\/blog\/2013\/08\/little-guys-must-stick-to-the-letter-of-the-uldc-glpc-2013-07-29.html","title":{"rendered":"Little guys must stick to the letter of the ULDC @ GLPC 2013-07-29"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\r\nAn individual with a request about family land\r\ngot told by staff he didn&#8217;t fit the letter of the zoning code,\r\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.l-a-k-e.org\/govt\/loco\/rezoning\/REZ-2013-09\/mime\/image011.html\">\r\n<img decoding=\"async\" style=\"float:right;border:none;width:200px\" src=\"http:\/\/www.l-a-k-e.org\/govt\/loco\/rezoning\/REZ-2013-09\/mime\/image011.gif\"><\/a>\r\nin sharp contrast to the\r\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.l-a-k-e.org\/blog\/2013\/08\/gated-moody-housing-on-val-del-road-rez-2013-09-glpc-2013-07-29.html\">\r\nMoody Housing item<\/a>\r\nwhich got to slide on traffic, safety, use of local contractors,\r\nand vague affirmations from the developer that maybe there&#8217;d\r\nbe no mold or unpaid subcontractors this time.\r\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/98706376@N00\/9489368017\/sizes\/z\/\" title=\"Walkout\">\r\n<img decoding=\"async\" style=\"float:right;border:none;\" src=\"http:\/\/farm8.staticflickr.com\/7294\/9489368017_21bff60b39_m.jpg\" alt=\"Walkout\"><\/a>\r\nMost of the attendees didn&#8217;t care, and walked out as soon\r\nas this item started.\r\nBut some of the Commissioners did care.\r\n<\/p>\r\n<p>\r\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=EJQ6Q7Fueog&#038;list=PLshUv86fYkiFCvCInocvqjhW7DlJr4RbB&#038;index=16\">\r\nCounty Planner Jason Davenport<\/a> said nobody is currently renting\r\nthe property and &#8220;you have the recommendation from staff&#8221;.\r\n<p>\r\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/98706376@N00\/9489368581\/sizes\/z\/\" title=\"Stubbs\">\r\n<img decoding=\"async\" style=\"float:right;border:none;\" src=\"http:\/\/farm8.staticflickr.com\/7394\/9489368581_a3861f4811_n.jpg\" alt=\"Stubbs\"><\/a>\r\nThe applicant said the land had been deeded by grandmother\r\nto family members years ago,\r\nand one now wanted to sell his part.\r\nThe\r\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.l-a-k-e.org\/govt\/loco\/rezoning\/REZ-2013-09\/mime\/big\/REZ-2013-10XTRCXAnalysis-0.html\">\r\nTRC&#8217;s analysis<\/a>\r\nsaid the request didn&#8217;t meet ULDC requirements and\r\nthe\r\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.l-a-k-e.org\/govt\/loco\/rezoning\/REZ-2013-09\/mime\/ORR-REZ-2013-08-and-09.txt\">\r\nTRC&#8217;s recommendation<\/a> was laconic:<!--more-->\r\n<blockquote>\r\n<p>\r\n3)      REZ-2013-10 Stubbs, 4794 Stubbs Lane, 0069 063, 1.19 ac., 1 lot, E-A to R-1, well\/septic\r\n<p>\r\na)      The TRC recommended denial of the request unanimously.\r\n<\/blockquote>\r\n<p>\r\nCommissioner Celine Gladwin asked how big the parcel applicant&#8217;s\r\ncousin got.
