\r\nCommissioners approved dollar amounts for two purchase orders that were completely different\r\nfrom the ones they were quoted the morning before, with no discussion:\r\nthe County Attorney quoted the new figures, asked for approval,\r\nand immediately got it\r\nat the\r\n\r\n9 July 2013 Regular Session of the Lowndes County Commission<\/a>.\r\n

      \r\nChairman Slaughter said they would “conjoin a and b together”.\r\n<\/p>\r\n

      \r\nWhat we have at this time are the work orders and what we would like\r\nto get at this time is a motion to approve and ratify the purchase orders.\r\n<\/blockquote>\r\n

      \r\nCounty Attorney Walter G. Elliott asked to clarify:\r\n

      \r\n\r\nThe Commissioners have in front of them\r\nPurchase Order 13-12-545\r\nwhich is with Carousel Industries\r\nin the amount of\r\n$26,612.07.\r\nI have the purchase order with all of the applicable attachments here.\r\nYou have before you the purchase order.\r\nMost of the attachments were in your notebook behind 6.a.\r\n

      \r\nThe second Purchase Order you have 13-12-546, with\r\nBallantine in the amount of $54,695.\r\nYou have that purchase order.\r\nThe relevant purchase orders were in your notebook behind tab 6.a.\r\nI have the entirety of the purchase order with all of the attachments.\r\n

      \r\nIt is these two purchase orders \r\nthat are before them\r\nand I suggest a motion to approve, ratify, and authorize \r\nexecution and issuance of these two purchase orders.\r\n<\/blockquote>\r\n

      \r\nThose prices are completely different from\r\n\r\nthe ones\r\nthe County Manager quoted the previous morning in the Work Session<\/a>.\r\nNonetheless, the Commissioners\r\nrapidly did exactly what the Attorney told them to.\r\n<\/p>\r\n
