\r\nBill W. Sharp, Vice Chair of the\r\n\r\n<\/a>\r\n\r\nPutnam Development Authority<\/a> noted Georgia Power had water permits\r\nand asked three things at\r\n\r\nthe Georgia Public Service Commission meeting Tuesday 18 June 2013<\/a>:\r\n

  1. \r\nCurrently Georgia Power has a permit to use water from Lake Sinclair.\r\nWe would ask to use this permit for the \r\nfor the economic development of Putnam County.\r\n
  2. \r\nWe would ask you to encourage Georgia Power to assist in bringing\r\nnew industry to our area through their vast network of economic development.\r\n
  3. \r\n\r\n<\/a>\r\n…commit to maintain the current full level of Lake Sinclair and Lake\r\nOconee in order to continue the developments around the lake.\r\n<\/ol>\r\n

    \r\nChairman Eaton said the PSC was in a difficult position.\r\nSharp said he understood business and praised Georgia Power yet again, but:\r\n

    \r\nFrom our standpoint\r\nwe’d like them to help us get on with life\r\nand make life better in Putnam County\r\nby helping us find this development.\r\nLet’s go out and create some new ideas.\r\nAnd they can do that.\r\nAnd we’d like you to encourage them with your power and your prowess.\r\n<\/blockquote>\r\n<\/p>\r\n
