I tried to follow your link &amp; did not see any reference on\nthe page it brought up. I personally have been wondering why the\n<a href=\"http:\/\/commons.wikimedia.org\/wiki\/File:Local_Wildlife,_stained_glass_window,_Dornoch_Cathedral.jpg\">\n<img decoding=\"async\" style=\"float:right;border:none;\"    class=\"at-xid-6a0120a58214e4970b017d3cc64a36970c\" src=\"\/blog\/images\/6a0120a58214e4970b017d3cc64a36970c-pi.jpg\" \/><\/a>\ntaxpayers are not privy to any discussions of SGMC purchasing the\nproperty. Since SGMC has already purchased the adjoining properties,\neffectively land locking the current library, I would think the\nlibrary board would have quite a bit of leverage toward negotiating\nprice &amp; we the taxpayers have a right to know what is transpiring\nbetween them. Everyone I have questioned states they cannot find out\nany information about proposed SGMC\/library negotiations or\ndiscussions.\n<\/p>\n<p>\nThankfully LAKE does a lot to solicit transparency within local\ngovernment entities &amp; boards. I for one am tired of seeing said\ntransparency be a constant source of tension. No one should have to\nconstantly work to elicit information that should be readily\navailable. I personally will not vote for SPLOST VII or any other\nproposed tax until I see local government become more accountable to\ntaxpayers. SPLOST VII needs to die so a more responsible proposal\ncan be presented. We complain about the federal government not\nbalancing the budget, yet local government entities seem intent on\ndevising lists littered with wants instead of focusing on needs as\nif the economy is thriving.
