\nFormer Mayor Joins the Advanced Disposal Atlanta Marketing Team<\/a>,\n<\/p>\n

\nAdvanced Disposal Services, Inc., a regional provider of integrated

\nservices, is pleased to announce the hiring of Brett Harrell as the
\nMunicipal Marketing & Government Affairs Representative for the
\nMetro-Atlanta area.\n<\/p>\n

\nMr. Harrell brings a multitude of experience to his new position
\nhaving spent time as former Mayor of the City of Snellville where he
\nadministered the city’s solid waste and recycling program serving
\nover 6,000 residential stops and 1,000 commercial clients. Under
\nHarrell’s leadership, the city also constructed a $2 million
\nstate-of-the-art recycling center expanding services while
\ndramatically reducing the cost of curb-side collection for all
\nresidents. In addition to his prior service as Mayor, Harrell also
\nserved as a member of the Georgia Department of Community Affairs
\nBoard and Chaired the Quality Growth Committee. He also served as a
\nmember of the Governor’s Congestion Mitigation Task Force, Executive
\nDirector of the Evermore Community Improvement District (CID), and a
\ncharter member of the Metropolitan Atlanta Mayor’s Association
\n(MAMA). His wealth of community and governmental knowledge is
\ngreatly beneficial in growing the Metro Atlanta market area.\n<\/p>\n

\nMr. Harrell is actively involved in state and local government and
\nis running for the District 106 seat of the Georgia State House of
\nRepresentatives. He has had exceptional success in his previous
\nemployment endeavors and brings the same responsiveness and
\ncommitment to quality service to Advanced Disposal.\n<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\nfor the Georgia General Assembly 2011-2012 term. State
\nRepresentative Brett Harrell (R-Snellville) was appointed to the
\nRegulated Industries, Transportation, and Information & Audits
\ncommittees. Rep. Steve Davis (R-McDonough), chairman of the
\nInformation & Audits Committee, subsequently named Rep. Harrell
\nchairman of the General Government Subcommittee on Information and
\nAudits. Additionally, Rep. Jay Roberts (R-Ocilla), chairman of the
\nHouse Transportation Committee, placed Rep. Harrell on the Ports and
\nLocal Government Subcommittee of the House Transportation Committee.\n<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
