\r\n\r\n<\/a>\r\nRegional Bicycle Workshop On Monday, June 10, 2013, from 2 p.m. to 4\r\np.m. the Southern Georgia Regional Commission will host a Regional\r\nBicycle Workshop to discuss local bicycle infrastructure planning\r\nand safety efforts.\r\n<\/p>\r\n

\r\nBicycling is becoming a more popular mode of transportation\r\nthroughout the nation and here in Southern Georgia. Our pleasant\r\nclimate and relatively flat landscape makes bicycling popular for\r\nboth commuting and recreation. Individuals of all ages are bicycling\r\nmore for various reasons, whether it be to save money on gas, to get\r\nto work or the store, for exercise, or to go see a friend across\r\ntown.\r\n<\/p>\r\n

\r\n\r\n\"GA<\/a>\r\nThis event will feature speakers on the topics of challenges to\r\nbuilding bicycle friendly infrastructure, bicycle safety and how our\r\ncommunities can be healthy, happy, wealthy and wise when it comes to\r\nbicycling. Brent Buice, from Georgia Bikes! will help lead a\r\ndiscussion on what our communities can do to become more bicycle\r\nfriendly.\r\n<\/p>\r\n
