[&#8230;]\r\n<\/p>\r\n<p>\r\n[Randy Lesco, vice-president of operations and chief nuclear officer\r\nfor Atomic Energy of Canada Ltd] said that further categorizing the\r\nincident as at &ldquo;Significance Level 1,&rdquo; the highest\r\norder, means AECL is treating it with appropriate importance [&#8230;]\r\n<\/p>\r\n<p>\r\nCNSC President Michael Binder questioned why AECL and CNSC staff did\r\nnot alert the public to the incident, which the Citizen first\r\nreported on May 8.
