We didn&#8217;t\nwant to be out there then.\u201d\n<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\n<a href=\"\/blog\/2012\/10\/i-dont-think-it-could-get-any-easier-richard-raines-on-solid-waste-lcc-2012-10-09-lcc-2012-10-09.html\">\n<img decoding=\"async\" style=\"float:right;border:none;\" class=\"at-xid-6a0120a58214e4970b017d3d3e8d51970c\" src=\"\/blog\/images\/6a0120a58214e4970b017d3d3e8d51970c-pi.jpg\"  alt=\"I don't think it could get any easier, said Richard Raines\"  \/><\/a>\nFunny how there was no mention of this possibility in\n<a href=\"\/blog\/2012\/10\/i-dont-think-it-could-get-any-easier-richard-raines-on-solid-waste-lcc-2012-10-09-lcc-2012-10-09.html\">\nthe County Commission meeting that adopted<\/a> this new solid waste plan.\n&#8220;I don&#8217;t think it could get any easier,&#8221; said Commissioner Richard Raines.\nIt looks like it&#8217;s not getting easier for county residents who want\nto dispose of their trash.\n<\/p>\n<p>\nThis is currently on\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.lowndescounty.com\/\">\nthe county&#8217;s own front page:<\/a>\n<\/p>\n\n<!--more-->\n<blockquote>\n<h3 style=\"color: red; text-align: center;\">PUBLIC NOTICE<\/h3>\n<p>\nLowndes County, Georgia\u2014Lowndes County has received several\ncalls from unincorporated residents indicating that their current\ngarbage collection provider removed their garbage container from\ntheir home without notice. In accordance with the proposal accepted\nby the Lowndes County Board of Commissioners on October 9, 2012,\nVeolia Environmental Services will be the service provider for the\ncollection of household garbage, recyclables, yard waste and bulk\nitems beginning January 1, 2013.\n<\/p>\n<p>\nUnincorporated residents that have their garbage container removed\nby their current provider prior to January 1, 2013, may call Veolia\nEnvironmental Services at 229-244-2466 and speak to a customer\nservice representative. Upon explaining to Veolia that their current\nservice has been discontinued, Veolia will deliver a garbage\ncontainer to the residents and honor the monthly rate of the current\nservice provider.\n<\/p>\n<p>\nEffective January 1, 2013, a new negotiated rate between Lowndes\nCounty and Veolia Environmental Serives will go into effect.
