      \r\n\r\nThelma Johnson Branham who worked for Valdosta and Lowndes County Schools for\r\nmore than 40 years, and Warren Tyson Jr. a WW II veteran, helped give\r\nan award to Commisioner Joyce Evans.\r\n<\/a>\r\nThat’s one of two things Westside Archives does; the other is to\r\ncrown a queen mother and king father, who are currently Branham and Tyson.\r\nThe presenter mentioned that Branham taught home economics to him.\r\n<\/p>\r\n

        \r\n\r\nDusty Sirmans<\/a> of the IT department said even less than was said\r\n\r\nin the Work Session<\/a>.\r\nNo questions.\r\nUnanimous approval.\r\n<\/p>\r\n

        \r\nFinance Director Stephanie Black said it was due to a change of ownership;\r\nno questions; unanimous approval.\r\n<\/p>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n

        1. \r\n\r\n3 Trucks — Utility Department<\/a>\r\n

          \r\nAt the\r\n\r\nWork Session Commissioner Marshall had some questions<\/a>;\r\nthere was no mention this time of any of the answers.\r\nUnanimous approval.\r\n<\/p>\r\n

        2. \r\n<\/a>\r\n\r\nLand Application Site Row Crop Lease<\/a>\r\n

          \r\nThe county spreads liquid waste on a site in the south end of the county, and likes to lease it out for a couple of farming operations.\r\nUtilities Director Mike Allen said the\r\nhigh bid $13,140 from\r\n\r\nSwilley Farms<\/a>, with 1% annual increase.\r\nSee\r\nWork Session<\/a> for Commissioner\r\nquestions the previous morning,\r\nand\r\n\r\nthe previous month for the haying bid<\/a> on the same land application site.\r\nOne Commissioner question about the row crop bid\r\nthis time: “That’s per acre, right”?\r\nAnswer: “I wish; no that’s for the entirety.”\r\nUnanimous approval.\r\n<\/p>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n
