Wind power gained slightly to\n8.6 percent from 8.0 percent. Biomass plants accounted for almost 6\npercent.\n<\/p>\n<p>\nIt says all renewable energies combined accounted for about 26\npercent of electricity production over the first nine months.\n<\/p>\n<p>\nGermany decided last year to phase out nuclear power by 2022 and\nreplace it with renewable energies.\n<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\n<a href=\"\/blog\/2012\/03\/separate-cwip-payments-to-georgia-power-wace-call-for-action.html\">\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"float:right;border:none;\" class=\"at-xid-6a0120a58214e4970b0168ec130ff3970c\" src=\"\/blog\/images\/6a0120a58214e4970b0168ec130ff3970c-pi.jpg\"   width=\"112\" height=\"112\"  \/><\/a>\nIf you&#8217;re tired of Georgia Power and its parent Southern Company\npouring your customer and tax dollars down that nuclear pit near\nthe Savannah River, or if you&#8217;d just rather have solar or wind power,\nyou can send in your CWIP charge as a separate check, with a note on it.\nEven if you&#8217;re not a Georgia Power customer, you can\n<a href=\"\/blog\/2012\/03\/separate-cwip-payments-to-georgia-power-wace-call-for-action.html\">\ncontact them or Southern Company (or the GA PSC or the legislature)\nabout this.<\/a>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n-jsq\n<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"July in Germany wasn&#8217;t a fluke: solar PV electricity production in Germany is up 50% over last year.
