Fanning say<\/a>:\r\n<\/p>\r\n<blockquote><p>\r\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.l-a-k-e.org\/blog\/2012\/05\/salute-for-less-coal-how-about-third-party-solar-mark-woodall-so-2012-05-23.html\">\r\n<img decoding=\"async\" style=\"float:right;border:none;\" src=\"http:\/\/www.l-a-k-e.org\/blog\/images\/6a0120a58214e4970b016766d95bbf970b-pi.jpg\"><\/a>\r\n\r\nWe remain very bullish on solar. When we think about renewables, I\r\nthink renewables are exceedingly important to this nation&#8217;s future.\r\nMy sense is until we see significant technology innovation, my sense\r\nis that that will probably very late in this decade or beyond that,\r\nwe still are gonna get by far the lion&#8217;s share of electricity from\r\ncentral stations.\r\n<\/p>\r\n<\/blockquote>\r\n<p>\r\nSO&#8217;s &#8220;bullish on solar&#8221; means nuclear, &#8220;clean coal&#8221;, and natural gas\r\nbig baseload power stations, and forget about solar or wind.\r\nThat&#8217;s why\r\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.l-a-k-e.org\/blog\/2012\/10\/georgia-powers-bowers-pushes-solar-misinformation-out-the-next-fifty-years.html\">\r\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"140\" height=\"211\" style=\"float:right;border:none;\" src=\"http:\/\/www.l-a-k-e.org\/blog\/images\/6a0120a58214e4970b017d3c80c4d3970c-pi.jpg\"><\/a>\r\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.l-a-k-e.org\/blog\/2012\/10\/georgia-power-hikes-prices-for-gas-and-nuclear-then-complains-about-solar.html\">\r\nGeorgia Power has raised customer rates to pay for gas and nuclear plants<\/a>\r\nwhile complaining about solar.\r\nHere&#8217;s Georgia Power CEO Paul Bowers:\r\n<\/p>\r\n<blockquote>\r\n<p>\r\n&ldquo;Renewable (energy sources are) going to have a sliver,&rdquo;\r\nBowers said of fuels to create electricity. &ldquo;Is it going to be\r\n2 or 4 percent? That&#8217;s yet to be determined. Economics will drive\r\nthat. But you always remember (that renewable energy is) an\r\nintermittent resource.
